Engineering approach

Make the useful path clear.

A few principles for turning an unclear workflow into a system someone can use and maintain.

Start with the workflow

Before choosing a framework or service, describe what a person needs to do, what information they have, and where the handoffs become difficult.

Choose boundaries that explain themselves

A good boundary makes the system easier to reason about: application data has a home, files have a home, and integrations have a clear role.

Prefer evidence over performance theatre

A project note should say what was built and why. Metrics, customer outcomes, and deployment claims belong only when they can be verified.

Carry the work to the edge

Implementation includes the last practical steps: deployment, readable documentation, sensible failure states, and a path for the next person to change the system.
